Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

2 miles wu/cd

Progressive Tempo mile repeats @6:58, 6:53, 6:45, 6:35, 6:09.

(90sec active rest, 8:30ap)

The first two miles felt the hardest, the easist was the last. Probably becuase the belt was going faster and I was in the air for half of it.

Dusting off cobwebs continued...

A painful stomach ache had me playing merry-go-round at the gym on each machine to find any sense of comfort level while exercising. Alas, I settled on the stationary bike where I was able to fit in a sweet ~5 miles in 30 minutes.

I love exciting things – like balloons, kittens, and ligers. Oh, and let me add to the list unintentional circus acts on a treadmill. I need to send a Christmas card to the person who decided to make gym treadmills automatically shut off at 60 minutes. Thank you for the exhilarating reminder during today's speed session. You clearly had a vision that most runners would be brain-dead and tired at this point, and you found a passive way to prod us off that treadmill. I get why you do that, and I applaud your effort! Treadmill- 1, Tara-0.  Well played:)

No harm done, but if you're going to fall, keep it classy like this guy.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpeSH6ngsgl

3.5 miles of high intesity climbing on the TM for just under an hour. I'm trying to reinvest  in my relationship with the TM again while my throat is irritated. The cold is just mean to it!

Stoked to be a new ambassador for Suunto!

Yikes, I was off my game today. Long run up to the Twin Peaks and BST with Craig, Scott and Zac. I was holding everyone up, for the most part. I couldnt catch my breath. Came home and felt like I raced a half marathon. I began speed work again this past week, and have ran 3 sessions in the past 7 days, so it made sense I was dead. We all take our turns being tired on these runs, mine was today. Dang.

I tested out my new Terramar baselayers today. The refversable tights are a dream and fit well. The Wool fullzip was warm. I layered a bit too much with my PI insuated top, but it evened out. Very comfortable and something I would wear everyday, too.
