Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

This morning I got up early only to spend 1.5 hours looking for my Ipod and charging Garmin. That was a waste of time since I never did find my Ipod and my Garmin died mid run. Oh well, at least it was lighter outside and I could take my time since Steve had the day off. I always want to sleep in with him, and when he finally has a day off, I find myself sitting in bed wanting to run really bad. It usually works out since he is usually still sleeping and I can slip back in bed like I never left, except with a stench telling otherwise. Tangent over.

Anyway, ran 9 miles on Davis today. According to Garmin at half way I was around 7:50 pace. The way back is more downhill since the first mile is spent climbing so likely average pace of 7:40 or 3:15....that is what an older guy told me when I passed him twice (after turning around) he told me he clocked me at 3:15 pace. I laughed and told him that was a personal record for me, he was pretty excited and then I realized he wasn't joking and believed it:) Wouldn't that be cool to run that fast on an "easy run."

Minus the first mile climb, that made me doubt my fitness,  felt good today.

Gotta love the ipod! It's so small that it's so easy to lose....3:15.. nice pace. I will not be running with you anytime soon.

What's up? Are you taking a leave of absence?

I am vicariously enjoying your once a week running schedule.

Ryan- I guess you could say I am on an unintentional break. I started two additional new jobs in the past two weeks and training has not been the kind of "training" I really would rather be doing:)The new year will bring more running....hopefully.

Kam- Yes, the once a week thing has been nice, but sort of not really at all. I am missing long runs. Are you nearing ready for one any time soon? Huh, I likely wouldn't be able to keep up at this rate! You're on fire!
