Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

9am- 9 easy miles with Allie and Nan up Mueller Park. Had fun discussing topics related to training, fuel, nutrition (the other two are in a league of their own here) and racing. A couple of near falls here and there, but Nan took the cake in that department. Then at Elephant Rock she started to  see things that Allie and I could not. I don't think she was taking any hallucinogens, must be a cocktail of euphoria and endorphins, that will do that to you;) Great company on a beautiful morning!

I waited so long for you guys! Where were you???

From Burt on Sat, Jun 01, 2013 at 14:05:06 from 72.223.88.98

Anyway, nice teamwork picture taking. Why is Nan holding a ponytail behind allie's ear?

i can't wait to race while i'm nursing. can i say that on here?

you forgot to mention your beautiful, jangling jewelry.

From Tara on Sat, Jun 01, 2013 at 14:14:59 from 75.169.138.250

Burt- Allie asked her to hold it so it looked like she had hair. Babies will do that to look older;) Also, we looked for you, but I think you were in another state or something like that.

Allie- I should have worn it! I was gorgeous. Nursing and racing is something you can't even describe (despite our attempts) you'll just have to do it for yourself. You feel so much faster and lighter when you are done. Can I say that? Well, it's true.

Is this an announcement Allie? Have I missed something here?

From Burt on Sun, Jun 02, 2013 at 17:52:39 from 72.223.88.98

Yes! Angie likes to start the same kind of rumors that I do!

From allie on Sun, Jun 02, 2013 at 17:56:22 from 97.126.222.242

no.

From Burt on Sun, Jun 02, 2013 at 18:00:56 from 72.223.88.98

Wait, what do you mean no? I already told half the blog.

From Tara on Sun, Jun 02, 2013 at 18:41:17 from 75.169.138.250

Burt- You should know better. Allie is still in recovery from when you kicked her in the uterus.

From Burt on Sun, Jun 02, 2013 at 20:21:57 from 72.223.88.98

Well, if it's any consolation, I was aiming for the left ovary.

From Nan on Thu, Jun 06, 2013 at 20:27:34 from 98.245.117.176

Nursing while racing is just fine. Except when its not.

From runningafterbabies on Thu, Jun 06, 2013 at 21:11:15 from 71.195.219.247

A pump is a must have when you are racing and nursing. You haven't lived until you've hooked yourself up to the car battery while en route to your race.

Melody! Hahahahahahaha! That alone makes me want another baby, right now!

From Burt on Fri, Jun 07, 2013 at 22:54:30 from 72.223.88.98

Tara - I might need to have a talk with you about the birds and the bees. Babies don't just come right now.
