Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Time to get back on board. Hollidays are over here. I took down the Christmas tree and all decorations 3 hours after opening presents. The neighbors must have given some weird looks as we hauled the tree to the curb in the early morning hours. Done with Christmas, time to focus on the season ahead. The winter Circuit is just around the corner...

Ran 14 this morning down Main with AP of 7:50. I downloaded some new music, so that made it fun. Nothing like running to a little Michael Jackson and Garth Brooks!

Felt good today. Played some games on the way back. Miles 7-9 focuses on cadence, 10-12 ran intervals on the hills- running fast up and down the rollers, then slower on the flat parts. Then last two miles were focused on a girl far ahead to pass. When I finally passed her, I realized she was barley running. Not the sweet reward I was looking for. It made me laugh. That's what I do, I laugh at people when I pass them;) Last mile or so I cooled down. Felt great today.
