Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

MERCY.

A day of rest. I felt completely wiped out after yesterday's race. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought I ran a marathon without the soreness. Allergies or a cold kicked in shortly after. I woke up with plans to go to Idaho for a farewell, but decided to stay behind. I just felt completely dead. I knew lack of sleep was the main contributor (I've been on a sleep kick obsession lately). So my husband and kids left for the day. I woke up at 10:50am and felt so disoriented. The time didn't make sense to me. I think the last time I slept in that late was pre-kids!  HR was slightly elevated up 5 pts at 48. Rested throughout the day and feeling better.

Another night of rest then ready to tackle another week of training.

Are you running the 5k on Thursday in C-Ville? Angie is coming...

Oops. Just saw your schedule on the sidebar. Have fun in Kaysville. Maybe we'll pace together at the 10k in Farmington.

I actually was just looking at centervilles race. I didn't know they had one. It seems like a good choice to be closer to home. Wish it was a 10K! Yeah, I will probably be there after all. Breakfast afterwards and a parade? Sounds like a good package deal.

I think you can buy breakfast in founders park afterward. You and Angie will duel for the win. Jasmine Sessions is usually the victor, but she has other plans this year. I like the way this head to head battle is shaping up.

I think there might be a pair of shoes on the line...how can you pass that up? Register at city hall today, or there is day of race signup starting at 6 am. You should just jog down for a warmup.

I'm having a hard time with registering on active.com. I wonder if the fee changes if I just do it the day of the race.. I'll take care of it either way. Kam, you're going to pace me a win right?;) That will be fun to have Angie there!

Ah, I see the registration info. Yeah, I'll jog down for a warm up. Fun! Thanks for the heads up. Does your family hang around for the festivities afterwards? I imagine it's similar to Bountiful Days. Looks like a day patched with great events!

We just catch the parade from straight down the street. We've never bothered much with going to the park for the vendors and booths, though. It's a good day to pick raspberries, read a book, play rock band, and take in a movie.
