Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Last night was rough. I put the kids down to sleep and got into bed myself around 9:00. I really thought I could warn off this cold, but it's getting worse. My head wants to blow up and I can't stop coughing. This is also true for the rest of the clan in the house. I think stress brings it on. I was sick before Ogden (although that was the flu.) I clearly bring it on myself! One thing I'm not going to let it do, is use it as an excuse when I'm hurting on Saturday. It would be easy to tell myself to ease off because I've been sick. The good thing these sort of bugs can turn around pretty fast.  I still think I can reve up my appetite today. The menu calls for lots of fruits, veggies and carbs. I'm ready to bring down my time on Saturday- that or I'll die trying.

I plan to get a couple miles in, maybe a few short intervals at mp.

We leave tomorrow, so packing today!

ahhh, sorry about the cold. you still have a couple of days, so hopefully things will turn around. i like your menu -- get plenty of good calories in over the next 48 hours. emergen-c is good too.

good luck packing -- don't forget socks. safe travels.
