Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

If you want to race fast, you have to train fast, so I was told. But a total BLAH fest transitioning marathon training to 5k.

Today was the first 5k speed workout. Decided to start a little more conservative since I didn't know how running under 6:00 would feel. I put on the Kinvara's and did 6x400's and 1x800 with equal rest. Paces were 5:21, 5:21, then 5:18 for the rest, including the 800. The 400's weren't too bad at all, but the last 800 was not fun.

After that I did 3x4:00 minute intervals on the row. Then core and stretching.

Also pull ups are hard.

grammar police. unless you are referring to the type of pull up known as the "also" pull up, a comma is needed. you can decide where it goes.

Allie- The grammar police scare me. They make me nervous to write anything.

Burt- I hope your not them. Also, your bathroom experiences sound pretty intense. They have stuff for that you know, it's called water and fiber. Don't stress your hammy over it, that's bad form.

Ha ha, I also know it was a tip from JulieE:)

Uh oh!!! Of all the grammatical errors!!! That one bothers me the most!! That being said, shut up Burt. WAS THAT offensive?:)

I'll get over it. Try typing burt-mccumber into your friends bar.
