Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Cross training at Gold's today.

30 mins on the elliptical while watching DOG the Bounty Hunter. Mrs.Dog slightly freaks me out.

2x failure ~12 Hip abduction (200lbs!)/adduction (110lbs),

2X10 hamstrings curles (30lbs?)

1x10 military press (70lbs)

2x10 shoulder flys (15/20lbs)

2x18 pyramid pushups-military

2x8 assisted "dead hang" pull ups (25%) These were discouraging.

1x10 curles (25lbs)

3x 90 second planks

1x10 balance squats on boso ball + 10lb weights

20 mins in dry sauna afterwards

I really felt directionless in the weight room today. I didn't push myself, but get familiar with weights again. On paper looks more aggressive than the effort really was. It's been so long since I have regularly weight lifted.  I need a lifting partner.

Also, I really wanted to add a hyperlink in today's post, but I realize I've gone overboard lately.

Weights at the gym- Yeah!!! When I started lifting I felt the same way as you, but I just kept going and trying new things. Challenge yourself and mix it up a lot. It is great to have an experienced partner at first to show you the ropes. Maybe there are some meatheads at Golds that would??? :)
