Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

6am- 4 easy on the TM. Niggle still niggling a bit, but totally not holding me back. Just aware. I feel antsy to run fast today. 10 days left of tapering. Uh oh. Some light speed work tomorrow, according to Greg/Bonnie's taper plan:)

Niggle please!

Just take it easy, Tara. You can't cram for this final...Just show up to the start line injury free and see what kind of miles you can crank out. How far are you going Sat?

From allie on Wed, May 08, 2013 at 19:32:58 from 97.126.223.200

keep that niggle in check. 10 days to go!

Ya Tara how far are you going Sat? And Kam? Wanna meet up for a run? Lets get Allie to join us too:) Whadya say? It wont be a rainy day. In May. HEYYYY!!

From Kam on Thu, May 09, 2013 at 10:14:36 from 68.66.163.179

There is a fundraiser 5k in centerville for a guy who dropped dead unexpectedly. $5 is the suggested entry fee. We could do that and add on...Tara probably only needs 8 or so miles, though.

From allie on Thu, May 09, 2013 at 10:29:15 from 161.38.221.168

i'm up for a 5k + adding on, or any other plans.

From Bonnie on Fri, May 10, 2013 at 10:49:54 from 196.3.39.209

ha ha ha ha ... Burt, that is too funny.

In the deep words of allie, "the taper is evil, don't listen to a thing it says".

You are doing great Kara! It is the weirdest thing, what the taper does to us, I swear my leg hurt so much in the two days before Eugene that I wasn't even sure I was going to be able to run, I was so worried it kept me up at night!

Don't listen, don't listen. Change the conversation in your head to thinking back on all the great training you have had leading up to this race! (not that I am suggesting that you walk around talking to yourself, that might be weird, do it quietly ;-))

I hate you all, except Bonnie and especially Burt. I can't come this Saturday because someone thought it was a good idea to work every other weekend 3 years ago when they took the job. Even more, I hate missing out on runs with fun friends.

Run in my name, no better not. Run in the name of the 5k dead guys (RIP) name.

Oh, that really sounds fun!

Kam- Bonnie made me run 12 today, not 8.

Bonnie- Thanks for the advice. Also, I sat on a ball today and cursed your name:)

From Burt on Fri, May 10, 2013 at 14:05:05 from 72.223.88.98

Sorry Tara. It's your turn now.

From Bonnie on Fri, May 10, 2013 at 17:56:57 from 196.3.39.209

Kara, if I had $.10 for every time someone said that to/about me ...
