Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

6AM- A short jaunt down the street led me to believe that if I ran down the hill to Main, I would never make it back. Turned around and warmed up on the elliptical at home for 20 mins, then some slow TM miles. 3 miles

PM- 4.5 miles. Night run with Steve to the track and back. I wanted to see how much the track was lit up at night, if at all. It was dark, but I took a lap anyway, while Steve stretched in the parking lot. On the far side of the track,  I was scared to death by a guy that popped out near me wearing all black . I think he was talking to himself. After I passed he said, "what? WHAT?" So I sprinted out of there back to Steve. Then on the way home I screamed three times over dumb things. Steve says I'm not cut out for night running. Last mile at mp.

That's funny. I would've peed my pants! I'm not a fan of night running, unless I'm with a group. ;) You're amazing!

Are you still doing tempo Tuesdays?

From Tara on Tue, Sep 17, 2013 at 21:54:21 from 75.169.141.151

Yep, we're still doing them, except Andy cancelled yesterday and Kam wanted a quality workout. I was willing to try, but he made the exception to changing it to tomorrow night so we could get a long tempo in. Hopefully my legs will respond! You are still welcome to come out for those:) How are your legs?

So many weirdos in Utah.

I think someone has a crush on you Tara. And her name rhymes with Smelly.

From Telly on Tue, Sep 17, 2013 at 22:27:05 from 174.23.160.216

Oh, it's more than a crush Burt! Smelly? bahaha! You're really doing a tempo run tomorrow night? That sounds kinda fun. How far are you planning on running? My legs feel much better today. Still sore.

From Tara on Tue, Sep 17, 2013 at 22:51:30 from 75.169.141.151

10-12 with long tempo miles at the end. That would be crazy for you to do! What do I know, you are a machine:) Also, anytime you want some shakeout miles, let me know!

The feeling is mutual.

Shantell - No fast running for you for 2 weeks minimum. Give your body a chance to repair itself before doing anything more than easy runs.

I would have thought Stephen would have kept a better eye on you. He was probably just trying to build up the mind set to just make it back to the house.
