Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

5AM- 8 miles at Gold's on the TM. My body did not want to go even after 2.5 miles. I almost talked myself into getting on the elliptical but Instead I turned down the incline to 1.5-2.0 and made myself run another 5.5 miles . Picked up the last 3 miles @ 6:30 pace.

Afterwards, I drove to FireHouse Fitness for the 6:30 class. My legs felt tight and tired, but feeling improvements overall in strength.

No foot pain due to wearing the boats.

I think you're due for a trail run. We are running tomorrow and possibly Wed morning. Bring the 'boats' along and hit the trails.

I guess I don't know what "boats" are. Nice job pushing it on the treadmill. Hard to believe it is treadmill weather again.

What are the '"boats'"?

From allie on Mon, Nov 18, 2013 at 17:55:06 from 161.38.221.168

boats are good if they are keeping the pain at bay. i hope your foot(z) is/are okay though.

my brain hurts trying to remember where on earth that swishy suit thread is. google can't find FRB comments...only posts. pffft.

Scott- Yes, I am due for a trail run again. Thursday or Friday I am open if you happen to venture out...I'll join!

Sheridan- I call one of my pairs of shoes, "boats" because they are huge and bulky. However, they are the only shoes right now that are not hurting my foot:)

Burt- See above, and hi!

Allie- No Z, good thing. Just one foot! I'm sorry I injured your brain. I can't remember who else was in that conversation. Your post the other day reminded me of that thread and I wanted to link it. Now I just want to find it!

Are they Hokas? I saw a matching running couple hefting around Hoka boats this morning. Looked heavy. But hey, the feet get what the feet want.
