Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

5:15AM- Last minute invite to run to Ave Twin Peaks with Scott W this morning. We met up later with the other part of the group due to an earlier start. Nice group.

I figured it was going to be super cold, but it ended up being warmer than expected. Head lamps were a must and very helpful. I kept my head down and focused on not tripping. The pace was perfect. We walked several of the steeper/slicker areas to stay upright. The footing became more difficult for me as we reached the first summit, due to ice and snow. Really, I needed  trail shoes with spikes!

Mid run, Scott pointed out the two peaks we were running to (I thought we were almost done at that point:). I would have never tried to climb them on my own. I didn't know people did! Ha! This was my first summit and it did not disappoint. The views of the city lights were remarkable. 10 miles in 2:03:00.

I went into the run with sore legs, and finished the run even more sore.  I expect He-Man legs, shortly. It must be the throat steroids.

Nice job.

Huh? I heard a rumor about you this morning. That's all.

I'm not gay. I just like to wear girdles. They're comfortable.

So fun! Next up: Grandeur loop. :) You are a natural on the trails.

Burt- We talked a lot about you. I told her all of your secrets.

I had to come check this out after reading Scott's entry. Welcome to the summit world, Tara! Scott's an excellent ambassador for the trails and peaks. Ahhh, it's like Hotel California, you can check in any time you want, but you can never leave. :-)

Oh, and you will _never_ look at those peaks the same again.

Scott! I guess this means we have to let Tara join our secret bro's against ho's club.

Scott- You were so accommodating and patient this morning. Thanks angain!:) I will be out again...when my legs stop hurting!

Jen- For the record, Scott had many great things to say about you this morning. Burt, no so much;)

Burt- Sorry, I can't join that group. I was once called a hoe in 6th grade from a boy named Jeff. He was half my size and we use to kick each other in the shins for fun. Once he told on me, so I kicked him in between the legs. He moved shortly after that. The funny thing is that I saw him later when I was in HS and he had the same high voice he did in grade school. Only a hoe would smile over something like that.
