Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

5 miles easy with 1x1 mi at 6:50 and 1.5 mi at 7:15, half mile jog inbetween. 9 miles total on hilly course. For the most part I played around with my new Garmin 405. I had to take off my compression socks half way because they were bothering me. I think I will just wear them after runs, I've decided I can't stand wearing them during runs. Okay day, pretty tired. Need to rest up for race on Monday, I bagged the Satuday one...I think.

I do not live in Bountiful, nope! I live in the Herriman area!

I wore the compression socks a lot last year, then I wore them in the marathon and I got the worst blisters of my life!!! Compression socks and heat do not mix!

Hey Tara, I didn't know you were on the blog! Looks like your whipping into great shape! What race are you running on Monday?

Hey! How are you liking your new Garmin??? The compression socks are good for recovery..I usually wear them when I am injured or super sore.

From Tara on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 16:56:36 from 75.169.139.140

Christi- I like what the garmin is capable of but it is far more complex than my 301. I have it figured out now, I'm just not a fan of the touch ring around the face. Sort of weird, don't you think. I do love how it keeps track of my mile splits though. I really like it overall. I might try just one more run with those dang socks, after that no more!

Nan- Adam told me you were injured from Boston? I read about your shoulder too. Man sakes! I am running the Freedom Festival 10k in Provo on Monday. I was going to do the NSL 5k on Saturday but it didn't end up working out logistically. Thanks for the comment:) PS. I hear you are in NSL with Ashley. Enjoy the trip!
