Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Cross training all week. Legs are coming back and should be close to 100% very soon. Today at the gym I did 30 minutes total of spin and elliptical, then 45 minutes of my lifting plan. Legs were wimpy today, but arms were champs!

Looking to speed things up a bit and start doing more 5k-10k training starting late next week-I registerd for a Thanksgiving race. Excited to change things up a bit.

Do any of you take a season off? I am assuming everyone does to a degree. If so, how long do you take off from racing?

nice job, champion arms! i hope your legs come back soon.

i usually use january - march as a base building season then start racing in april and may as sort of a "pre-season" for the summer racing season. i don't ever really set a specific limit or time frame, i just sort of move in and out of base/easy mode as my body tells me to. i think that "shutting it down" for a bit each year is a very wise thing to do -- just a period of easy, easy running and lower mileage to reset both physically and mentally.

I really did hide from you at the half. I figured about where you would be and hid in the potty at that time just so I would miss you.

Great SEASON tips Allie. Thanks!

James- You are good! You know you are sad you didn't see me but I am glad you didn't. My pics look like I was dead.

Actually I was looking for you the whole time. I saw Krystal, so I must have just missed you.

James maybe you saw me but didn't recognize me. I don't really have red hair anymore, or so I am told:)
