Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

I must have slept with my leg behind my head. Pain this morning for no reason. 3 miles cross train.

I think I need to put all races planed on the back burner with hopes of a fall marathon. It's too exhausting following this injury, it is so unpredictable of when it is going to flare up Between my back and glut, they take their turn acting up. I think a clear calender will do some good, although lead to a very boring summer. What is summer without long runs? I'll make whatever races I can but with no pressure. Maybe this will all heal faster that way. Maybe it's time to join the Master's Swim team at the Rec center. I've been waiting for the right time to do that. SO I guess I run if I can, cross train if I can't. Dumb plan.

Hope you can get over this injury. Sounds super frustrating!

Giving your body (and your mind) a break can work wonders. My best races have been when I wasn't planning on them for an extended amount of time. Gives you fresh legs to train on!

Ok so I know I may have something about this before. I bulged a disc in my back and I had to break for a full 6-7 weeks with zero running. I would never have healed if I hadn't. I hope you will consider a full break so you can get your back better. :(
