Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

AM: 8 easy miles on Davis. I set my alarm to wake up at 5:20 this morning for a run at 5:45 with a friend. I woke up at 5:53, it never went off. UGH! I literally left a trail of clothes on my way out as I undressed and dressed all the way up the stairs and out the door with my shoes in hand. Apparently I found time to turn on nearly every light- waking everyone in the house. It was an emergency!:) I left the house less than 2 mins from when I woke up. I drove up to our meeting spot and she was gone, but found her later down the route. I felt like I was dreaming the entire run. Maybe I had an eye closed, I hope so. Ever since Allie's post about running with an eye closed I have wanted that experience for myself!

Too funny! This is why I sleep in my running clothes. ;) Glad you found your friend and got your 8 miles in.

spectacular! that is the way to do it. yesterday i was feeling a bit too alert so i put bandaids over my eyes to force them shut. sweet, sweet running dreams all along the way...

word on the street is that an "email blast" is about to happen where bib numbers will be supplied for all. i haven't swallowed for 42 minutes...

ANDREA- I highly doubt that. You dream of running all night and sit anticipating your alarm. I know it. Jake on the otherhand doesn't sleep, he just runs night and day:)

RACHELLE- You are smart!!! I'm sure your future mate will find that sexy! Ha! Maybe you should come up with a new line. Running clothes for day AND night!

ALLIE-oooooo. I hadn't swallowed for the last 90 seconds since reading this. Well, just once to eat a fruit snack but I promise it will be my last till I hear from you.

It seems it is very seldom that you aren't naked in front of your kids.

From Tara on Tue, Sep 11, 2012 at 17:47:10 from 75.169.143.6

Burt- It seems you have a knack for details. Well, dear Burt, I never said I was naked in front of anyone. You assumed that on your own!

I wonder if that has anything to do with my wife being gone for a week. What? Never mind.
