Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

PM: Ohh! So good to have some answers that finally make some sense! Today I saw an actual Physical Therapist, no Chiropractor mumbo jumbo. I loved her and wanted to put her in my little (GU) pocket and take her everywhere, especially to the gym with me! She listened and was so thorough. She kept asking and testing till she got it right and then created a great plan to follow. So I was a bit off with my initial diagnosis I gave myself. I thought I had injured my hamstring that connects to my butt bone- nope. I have injured my sacrotuberous ligament. that connects to my ischum, or bottom of spine. I guess it reeks havoc on everything else anyway. But the best part of this is that I discovered it is not the main concern or contributor. My pelvis is out of alignment, and just has been for most of my life. She said that not everyone is aligned perfectly and that's okay if they aren't athletes, but for runners it messes you up. That explains why I have multiple injuries that are always right side specific. I could have used this info in college. Sheesh. Anyway, she made a great plan for me and I plan to do it for the next month. 3hrs of PT exercise tonight, it wasn't easy. I would have rather gone for a run:) No running for next two weeks, bike and stretches are on the menu. Things are looking up and hope is starting to restore. Halleluiah!

3 hours of PT???? seriously a marathon of PT?????? interesting about your ligament....and injuries.....mine are always on my left side and my left hip is always malaligned. We are like cars if we don't get realigned we are going to "wear" unevenly. Wish we could cut ourselves and half and put our good sides together and let our bad sides battle it out!! glad you got a plan!!
