Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

7:00AM- Great group run this morning.  I only knew Kam and Mark P, but Mark brought with him a 16 passenger van full of runners from SLC, so lots of new faces! At 32 degrees and 95% humidity, we braved the cold, snow, slush and fog for a 12ish mile loop from Rocket park, down to Davis Blvd and somehow looped up to Bountiful Blvd. The two mile climb at half way had me panting like a puppy. I'm positive I could have walked faster. The climb had to range from 10-15%. It was challenging. I couldn't see who was ahead of behind me because the fog was so thick! I need to do more hills like that, but I would really need to be forced into it again. Kept a good pace throughout. Gotta love the pack mentality!

BURT.

Andy- You would have been just fine. There were so many runners you would have had your choice of who you wanted to run with for the day. You better show up next time.

Allie- No! Not a swimming costume! That one, is unreal. I have this Saturday off again and Im planning an early group run once again. I'll post again for anyone that will be around.

fanny pack = ?

From allie on Tue, Dec 18, 2012 at 12:42:31 from 161.38.221.168

fanny pack = bum bag.

this is true. i asked james during our run this morning and collapsed in the road when i heard the answer. he also told me that "fanny" is not a nice term in the UK. hence, bum bag.

i also learned (learnt) that bog roll is a "white rubbish" term, and the more sophisticated term is loo paper (pronounced pay-puh).

From Burt on Tue, Dec 18, 2012 at 13:32:33 from 71.216.109.214

No. Bum bag = fanny pack. Fanny pack = uh, nevermind.

You can thank Sam and Chris for providing me with my juvenile comments.

Nice running with you on Saturday! It look like you have fully recovered.
