Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

7:00 AM-  55º, 75% humidity, cloudy, little wind. Gorgeous morning run in Farmington back country on dirt and gravel. It almost looked like an extension of LPT, but not paved and much more scenic. I'd run it everyday if I could find it again. Met up with Angie B, Cynthia F., and Katie T. at Harmon's for a nice 13 miler. Great company and route! 7:45ap.

I have been very satisfied with my new Garmin 620. It's still learning about me each run. My first run, Yesterday, sent me a conrats message with an new 5k estimated time of 24 minutes, up to the marathon at 3:45. Overnight, I have improved my 5k estimate to 21:00 and marathon at 3:25. Even my VO2 max went from 44 to 48 overnight. If this improvement continues at this rate, I expect to have an OTQ by next week;)

PM- More rototilling!

Glad that the Garmin is working well. I think you need a few more runs to get a more accurate VO2max. I'm guessing yours is in the mid 50's.

Andy- Does VO2 max really change, once it gets a good idea? Have you seen yours change much? Also, did you set your max heart rate in your user profile? I noticed once I did that, I wasn't running at 90% of my HR max anymore.

this garmin 620 sounds so smart.

great group for a great group run.

I haven't done anything with the max heart rate because mine isn't weird like yours. Your reported VO2 will go up after you put in some faster miles. Mine went from 50 to 53 after our tempo miles last week.
