Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

6 AM: 13 miles in 2:09:26. Met up with Twinkies and Kam for Muller Park loop. The weather was perfect and the company was great. First time meeting Twinkies- his enthusiasm is contagious. We had good conversations about racing and mental games. I felt great going up and down until the last 1.5 miles on the road were more challenging. I think it was apparent by my silence for the last 1.5. My legs were spent. I knew I needed an ice bath so put in all our ice in a bath of room temp water. It came out slightly colder, not so much an ice bath:) I'm feeling drained but glad I got this run in today.

Let the race reports flood in!

Nice run today...

I didn't know which blog to comment back to you on, so I figured I would just do it on yours :) I went to a sports medicine PT last week, and all of his recommendations were everything I've already been doing on my own for strengthening the past month or two. I'll go to him one more time and see if he can give a more clean prognosis of what's going on, but I'm not confident. I just have so many different symptoms :o( I've had a couple people tell me that they've had success with prednisone (a steroid that is supposed to get down chronic inflammation). It might be a good option for me at this point...otherwise, I'm planning to come up to your neck of the woods and go to your PT!!!

It was great to meet you. We need to do that loop again sometime.

My bath in the creek wasn't too icy either, but it helped.

Wow, great job! (I haven't ran that many miles in a long time)
