Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

I haven't had much to post lately due to not having a computer at home, just an Itouch that is not compatible for posts. Nursing a couple injuries in my back and hamstring. I've been meeting with my Chiropractor, who Steve thinks anyone without an MD is a witch doctor. I love him and he has been helpful with some physical therapy techniques, iceing, TENS, ultrasound and taping:) Getting better, but only cross training this week. Hopefully this can be resolved before UV half....

30 minutes bike and 30 mins elliptical. 9 miles total.

hi tara. thanks for the update. i'm sorry you are nursing some injuries, but it sounds like things are headed in the right direction. you still have plenty of time before UV, and the cross training will keep you fit (and often times make you stronger).

Sorry about your back/hip Tara:( I hope it gets better...Keep up the cross-training and you will be fine!! I ran UVM last year off of hardly any running for about 3 weeks during the most crucial part of training (Due to injury) and I still ran faster than I would have thought...(You have done so much previous work that your body will remember!) I know that it is frustrating-but just keep a positive attitude-you will be fine!!

I think that is a Summers thing md....I helped Scott with a sprinkler system a couple of weeks ago and I mentioned the back quack and felt a disturbance in the force... he didn't say anything because I was free labor:)
