Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Had to cut back intensity several times so it was hard to get a cardio workout, last 30 minutes started to elevate. Rolled out muscles afterwards. For sure out this weekend for UV Half. Do you think I need to tell the race director since he gave me a complementary entry? It will be fun regardless to cheer everyone on! FRB members are going to do really well!

It would be the proper thing to do.

From Rachelle on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 19:29:52 from 66.7.127.115

I am sorry Tara. :( You can run the last 6 miles of the marathon for me if you'd like? I'll be looking for you. :)

From Kam on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 19:47:08 from 68.66.163.179

If she's running any miles at the end of the marathon, I've got dibs. I'll assert the privilege of the elderly.

From allie on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 19:54:54 from 161.38.218.168

i'm sorry, tara. get better soooon.

sorry. one more comment. i am impressed by your cross training. it's tough, but putting in that time while you are out from running will be SO beneficial for you when you get back into it. keep it up.

From allie on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 19:58:17 from 161.38.218.168

From Kam on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 20:25:18 from 68.66.163.179

I don't want to ask, but something is compelling me...allie, are you having some GI issues while concurrently running out of TP?

From allie on Tue, Jun 05, 2012 at 20:33:57 from 161.38.218.168

in sixth grade, i had a substitute teacher that called me diarrhea mouth. i'm still scarred by that, but i think her opinion was valid. this "condition" of mine seems to have transferred to the online world via my typing fingers. sometimes i just recklessly spew without thinking. i apologize in advance.

sorry tara. your blog might be shut down in the morning.

Burt- lol. Thanks. I figured out of everyone you would know tact:) btw how are you? It's been a while.

Rachelle- thank you:) I will be cheering you on! Pr time!

Allie-hi Allie. It's also been a while. Thanks for lending your humor. I must like diarrhea. My two year old calls it diaperrhea. Btw, those pennies were from around the 1950's I'm guessing by the strong taste and after taste. Glad you knew what I meant by that. Everyone knows blood tastes like pennies!

Kam- Ill be cheering you Do I reach with my lips but not my heart?on. I havent decided if I am going to wear sandals or running shoes to cheer....

I've heard that story before, so I know it's true.

From Christi on Wed, Jun 06, 2012 at 11:00:23 from 160.7.239.198

Sorry Tara--I am sure you are bummed-but I think it is the best for you to not run...Healing takes time...Allow that to happen and you will come back physically and mentally stronger once you can run. (Cross training will help you stay strong too)

From Kelli on Wed, Jun 06, 2012 at 22:05:23 from 67.172.235.55

OK, just read back backwards a month to see what was going on. I am sorry to hear about your back and stuff! It is amazing how much a back can hurt while running! But it sounds like you are getting in the tough workouts regardless!

And I think Rachelle and Kam will be just fine....JUST FINE. So, please, run the last 6 for me. ;o)

attempting...to...speak...but...a...bit...nervous...

what if...you opened a book about dinosaurs and one stumbled out and another and another until the whole place is rumbling and bumbling and groaning and moaning and snoring and roaring and dinosauring? what if...you tried to push them back inside but they kept tromping off the pages instead? would you close the cover?

god bless america.

good morning, tara.
