Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

6am: Met with the ladies group at the track to do legs and abs for the hour. Afterwards ran 4x400's in 85 with another girl to feel out my legs. Felt like a tired rag doll.

PM: PT appointment. I finally graduated and I am happy with the results! 90 minutes of training with focus on legs and lower body.

how much does your PT cost? I am sure you told me but where is he again?

Julie- Huh, I guess I need to clarify. I am not seeing my Personal Trainer, I am seeing a Physical Therapist. Same initials, so I can see the confusion! My personal trainer is Zach from Golds Gym. I bought 10 sessions and got 3 extra free. I use them sparingly to get ready for races or during down times. My physical therapist is awesome though. Her name is Tina and she is located at Performance West Sports PT in South Bountiful/ NSL. My insurance pays 85% leaving me with aprox. $20 a visit that lasts 2 hours. She goes over all my body mechanics and is very picky. That has made all the difference in my running and how I train.

Zach the trainer for 30 mins= $30, or Tina the phys therapist 120 mins=$20. Love the bang for the buck! I have a running evaluation at the University of Utah next Wednesday for 90 mins that my insurance also covers since my sports Doc referred. I am VERY excited for that too! You should see if something like that is available for you. I really thought I knew everything about running FOR ME, but have learned so much more in the past 3 months. Thanks for asking, you can tell I am excited for myself:) Hope you find some answers or recover, which ever comes first!
